Setting the password was seriously painful. It doesn't quite tell you all the rules and you can't see the password, and there is no checkbox to allow me to see the password. I can't type the password in in a different app and paste it. A long password, 2 special characters (maybe?) 2 lower case, 2 upper case characters, and my fingers not working well on my phone touch screen add up to a lot of frustration. The real time password tips were nice and the app worked as expected after that.

Hey Bret - Thanks for the feedback. We agree with you, and the upcoming version of the app makes this much easier when initially setting up your account password. It will be using the same approach used for "change password", which includes some of the suggestions you made. Unfortunately the OS doesn't allow pasting into Password Fields.

There have been some recent improvements to the app that bring it up to 3 stars, most notably working biometric-linked login, and the ability to see and manage investments. Now I prefer it to the web site, if only to avoid the awkward way multi-factor authentication is handled there. It's still missing a couple features available on the web site. The UI is plain, but mostly functional - if you can ignore loading screens in places you wouldn't expect them and a couple other strange behaviors during navigation. UX needs more thought around things like default filters. The underlying service remains disappointing. Monthly fees if I let my "checking" balance fall below $3000 - most of a year for an unmarried user maxing out paycheck withholding, and worse if you use the HSA to pay for expenses. More monthly fees just for having investments, in addition to whatever your funds charge. I would recommend looking for an alternative provider, but not because of the app.

I hoped this would make submitting receipts for reimbursement easier with the phone camera. That much worked, but so much else is wrong. It only shows one submitted, regardless of the number entered, which led me to resubmit, thinking it lost my entries. Using the website to view items submitted through the app shows it also ignored the recipient entered via the app. They will probably use their errors as an excuse to deny the claim. Very unimpressed with this company.
